Updating the gal

They do for my colleague sitting next to me, so I don’t think it is a server misconfiguration or something like that.Is there any way I can force a manual update of the Offline Address Book (OAB) in Outlook or reset it completely otherwise? While in general this is great, it creates some issues especially with synchronizing to my mobile phone due to the phone number formatting and the length of the Notes field. Can I disbale this automatic updating of my contacts? This morning I was asked to update the Global Address List and Offline Address Book in an Exchange environment. You could wait for Exchange to do it automatically (the default schedule is once a day) but what when you want to force the update to take place right now? In general, Outlook will automatically update the Offline Address Book (OAB) for Exchange accounts once every 24 hours.

In that case, you can completely reset it by deleting the files making up the OAB or by recreating your mail profile.

I might have a problem with my Offline Address Book in Outlook.

For me, new colleagues are not showing up and the contact pictures aren’t displaying either.

Looking for other management tasks related to address lists?

I am trying to update the contact list from the GAL.
